Meet your 2021 - 2022 Board!
Carol Hawk is one of our Co-Presidents. Her son, Slater, is a freshman and her husband Bill is a high school teacher.
She has served as President on Fairhaven Middle School PTSA and Wade King Elementary PTA as well as volunteered on numerous other committees.
Carol works full time as the Chief Operating Officer at a local hospital.
When not working or volunteering (or parenting) she loves to read, travel, hike, garden, craft, and cook.
She is excited to share her energy, experiences, and most importantly be a part of the Sehome community.
Tracy Bell is one of our Co-Presidents. She, and her husband Lynn have 2 sons. Gage graduated last year, and Sam is a sophomore this year.
Tracy has served on Wade King and Fairhaven Middle School PTA, and is a graduate of Sehome High School!
She enjoys outdoor activities, especially hiking with her 2 dogs.
Megan Peterson is excited to be your PTSA Co-VP of Fundraising.
She and her husband have an amazing daughter who is a SHS freshman.
Megan is proud to be born and raised here in beautiful Bellingham, 4th generation.
Megan enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being in nature, walking, hiking, biking, or riding her motorcycle.
Jen Burgess is our PTSA VP of Boosters.
She has one daughter at Sehome HS and feels fortunate to be able to support the PTSA.
Jen enjoys almost any outdoor activity, particularly those spent with her family and friends. Travel and eating delicious food are toward the top of the list as well.
When she’s not doing any of the above, she works as a Patient Financial Advocate with a local Medical Group.
Andrew Robinson is our VP of Membership.
Jo Williams is the VP of Volunteer Management. She has 2 kids at Sehome this year, a Sophomore and a Senior and a son heading to college in Vancouver, B.C. in January.
She left teaching to stay home with her kids and never went back, now helping to raise her almost 4 year old and 3 month old grandsons to help her oldest stepdaughter out while she works.
Jo co-owns a Craft Retreat in town, The Hobby HenHouse, and helps to manage the coming and goings of guests.
She enjoys exercising, both at the gym and on the hiking trails with her 2 dogs. She loves to scrapbook when she finds the time and feels fortunate to be able to be a part of the PTSA, helping to be a support to the staff, students, and families at Sehome.
Flo Behrends is one of the PTSA Co-Secretaries.
She works full-time as a consultant for a software company.
Flo has two children at Sehome, a freshman and a sophomore and can usually be found shuttling them to one of their many sports practices or cheering them on at a game or match.
Chuan Kuzin is your PTSA Co-Secretary. She currently works
full-time at Whatcom Center for Early Learning.
She is bewildered by the fact that she is now a parent of a high schooler and a middle schooler but is excited to be part of the Sehome family.
In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, reading, and traveling.
Jeanie Pritchard is honored to be your PTSA Co-Treasurer.
Although volunteering is fun and rewarding, her day job crunching numbers for local security company, pays the bills. Feeding a teenage boy (SHS Junior), a husband, and 2 birds gets expensive!
Since she is an introvert, Jeanie loves reading and listening to books, shopping for books, collecting books, and going to the library (not this year). In addition, she enjoys watching nerdy shows like Doctor Who, drinking tea by the gallon, cooking, walking, and spending time with her family.
Laura Root is happy to be your PTSA Co-Treasurer.
She works as a Nurse for Bellingham Public Schools, mainly working at Wade King Elementary. She has two kids attending Bellingham Schools, her son is a Freshman at SHS.
In her free time, Laura enjoys exploring the many trails and local hiking spots around Bellingham with her friends and family.
Marid Hendrickson will serve as Member-at-Large this school year.
She was a nurse at UW before moving to Bellingham to raise her three tireless daughters.
Marid enjoys hiking with her adventurous pup, volunteering with the English Language Learners program at Sehome, traveling a bit off the beaten path, reading, and eating good meals with family and friends.
