Meet your Board!
Jeanie Pritchard is honored to be your 2020-2021 PTSA President. Although volunteering is fun and rewarding, her day job crunching numbers for local security company, pays the bills. Feeding a teenage boy (SHS Sophomore), a husband, and 4 birds gets expensive! Since she is an introvert, Jeanie loves reading and listening to books, shopping for books, collecting books, and going to the library (not this year). In addition, she enjoys watching nerdy shows like Doctor Who, drinking tea by the gallon, cooking, walking, and spending time with her family.
Veronica Douglas is your PTSA Vice President. She works part time as a Family Practice nurse, full time as a home manager (dog whisperer, health advocate for her child, cook, lion tamer, personal trainer, all those other jobs we do). During her “down time”, she loves to watch t.v., read, eat and exercise (to facilitate the eating!). She also loves to travel (though that has been curtailed in 2020!).
Suzanne Munson is the PTSA Secretary. She works full-time in product development for a local health care company. She likes hiking, yoga, reading and listening to podcasts, and is always looking for book and podcast recommendations (send your favorites!). She has two kids at Sehome, and appreciates having the opportunity to be part of the Sehome community.
Else Sokol is happy to be your VP of Membership. She left her career as a Nurse Practitioner many years ago to raise her 2 sons (SHS senior and college junior). When she’s not doing dishes or cooking for her bottomless pits, she can be found exploring our local forests, coaxing her old yellow lab down the block, baking, writing, and volunteering.
Marid Hendrickson is your PTSA Co-Treasurer. She was a nurse at UW before moving to Bellingham to raise her three tireless daughters. She enjoys hiking with her adventurous pup, volunteering with the English Language Learners program at Sehome, traveling a bit off the beaten path, reading, and eating good meals with family and friends.
Jen Burgess is one of our PTSA Co-Treasurers. She has one daughter at Sehome HS and feels fortunate to be able to support the PTSA. Jen enjoys almost any outdoor activity, particularly those spent with her family and friends. Travel and eating delicious food are toward the top of the list as well. When she’s not doing any of the above, she works as a Patient Financial Advocate with a local Medical Group.
Jo Williams is the VP of Volunteer Management. She has 3 kids at Sehome this year, a Freshman, a Junior, and a Senior. She left teaching to stay home with her kids and never went back, now helping to raise her 3 year old grandson to help her oldest stepdaughter out while she works. She co-owns a Craft Retreat in town, The Hobby HenHouse, and helps to manage the coming and goings of guests. She enjoys exercising, both at the gym and on the hiking trails with her 2 dogs. She loves to scrapbook when she finds the time and feels fortunate to be able to be a part of the PTSA, helping to be a support to the staff, students, and families at Sehome.
