Meet your 2022 - 2023 Board!
Carol Hawk is one of our Co-Presidents. Her son, Slater, is a sophomore and her husband Bill is a high school teacher. She has served as President on Fairhaven Middle School PTSA and Wade King Elementary PTA as well as volunteered on numerous other committees.
Carol works full time as the Chief Operating Officer at a local hospital. When not working or volunteering (or parenting) she loves to read, hike, garden, and cook.
She is excited to share her energy, experiences, and most importantly be a part of the Sehome community. Go Mariners!
Tracy Bell is one of our Co-Presidents. She, and her husband Lynn have 2 sons. Gage is a Sehome graduate and Sam is a junior this year.
Tracy has served on Wade King and Fairhaven Middle School PTA, and is a graduate of Sehome High School!
She enjoys outdoor activities, especially hiking with her 2 dogs.
Megan Peterson is excited to be your PTSA Co-VP of Fundraising.
She and her husband have an amazing daughter who is a SHS sophomore.
Megan is proud to be born and raised here in beautiful Bellingham, 4th generation.
Megan enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being in nature, walking, hiking, biking, or riding her motorcycle.
Jen Burgess is our PTSA VP of Boosters.
She has one daughter at Sehome HS and feels fortunate to be able to support the PTSA.
Jen enjoys almost any outdoor activity, particularly those spent with her family and friends. Travel and eating delicious food are toward the top of the list as well.
When she’s not doing any of the above, she works as a Patient Financial Advocate with a local Medical Group.
Flo Behrends is our PTSA Secretary
She works full-time as a consultant for a software company.
Flo has two children at Sehome, a sophmore and a junior and can usually be found shuttling them to one of their many sports practices or cheering them on at a game or match.
Jeanie Pritchard is honored to be your PTSA member at large. She brings a wealth of PTSA knowledge, resources, and wisdom.
Although volunteering is fun and rewarding, her day job crunching numbers for local security company, pays the bills. Feeding a teenage boy (SHS Senior), a husband, and 2 birds gets expensive!
Since she is an introvert, Jeanie loves reading and listening to books, shopping for books, collecting books, and going to the library (not this year). In addition, she enjoys watching nerdy shows like Doctor Who, drinking tea by the gallon, cooking, walking, and spending time with her family.
Beth Downing is our Volunteer Coordinator.
She and her husband Marlowe have two sons at Sehome, Noah is a junior and Oliver is a freshman. She also has a daughter Joan, a fifth grader at Lowell.
She’s artistic and has a heart for community and volunteering.
Kristine is the PTSA co-Treasurer responsible for bookkeeping. She is a former biotech researcher from Seattle who moved to Bellingham with her family six years ago. She is now co-owner of a marketing and communications consulting firm with her husband, Tim.
Her son, Henry, is a Sophomore at Sehome and daughter, Ruby, is an 8th grader at Fairhaven. Her family also has two clownish and snuggly pugs named Arlo and Jeff.
Kristine loves volunteering her time with the PTSA because it keeps her connected with what is going on at school. She has previous experience as treasurer at Wade King and Fairhaven.
Michelle Neff is our Treasurer responsible for check writing this year. She has been on the Fairhaven Middle School PTSA for the last nine years and is so excited to join the Sehome PTSA and have her children at only one school now.
Michelle and her husband Ryan have 3 kids. Kaia is a senior at WSU and is going into teaching. Carson is a senior and Hudson is a freshman at Sehome.
She loves to run and walk with friends and family! Family time and trips with just the 5 of them are her favorite thing to do. The Neff family also has a new doggy Frank, who takes up a lot of their current time.
Alyssa Johnson is our VP of Membership and has previously served on the Wade King PTA. She is also the school nurse for Sehome, Wade King, Lowell and the Family Partnership.
She and her husband, Kevin have 4 past or present BPS students. Gabrielle is a Sehome graduate, Rhianna a Sehome senior, Annika a Sehome sophomore, and Mckinley is in 8th grade at FMS.
Alyssa likes spending time with her family and friends, reading , and enjoy it all the Pacific NW has to offer.
